🍜닛신 야키소바 - Japanese Yakisoba (100g)🍜

I love keeping this yakisoba at home for the days when I want something savoury, satisfying and ridiculously easy to prepare. Instead of a soupy ramen, I get glossy Japanese-style noodles coated in a rich sauce, which makes it feel like a completely different kind of quick meal.

What I enjoy most is how easy it is to make it my own. I like adding cabbage, carrot, spring onion or whatever vegetables I have in the fridge, and a little aonori on top gives it that extra yakisoba feeling. It is exactly the sort of cupboard staple that saves me when I am hungry but do not want to turn cooking into a major operation.

I serve it hot as soon as the noodles are coated and glossy. For me, it is quick Japanese comfort food with plenty of savoury flavour and just enough flexibility to make a simple packet feel like a proper plate of noodles.
